Whatever the category of the visa (tourist, business, press or transit), French nationals must furnish a photocopy of their French Identity Card or their driving licence. If a child is registered on the passport of the visa applicant and is travelling with the visa applicant, a photograph of this child must be joined to the visa request. No visa fees is required for this child.
All other nationals residing in France must provide a photocopy of their residence permit (carte de séjour or carte de résident).
American nationals are required to pay an additional 25 € as visa form fees.
With the exception of French nationals, all other nationals not residing in France must pay 30 € in addition to the visa fees.
Documents required for a journalist visa ('J' visa) :
Passport valid for a minimum of six months
Visa form duly filled in
Two recent photographs
A letter from the newspaper or media agency in France (name of the company with complete contact particulars, name of the representative, name of the person going to India, dates of the voyage)
50 € in cash for a single or double entry visa valid for three months from the date of issue
