The 69th Republic Day of India was celebrated by the Embassy of India, Paris on 26th January, 2018. H.E. Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Ambassador of India and Permanent Representative of India to UNESCO hoisted the Indian National Flag. In his address to the audience, he referred to the excerpts of the President’s address to the Nation on the eve of Republic Day. He also urged them to uphold the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution of India.

He invited Ms. Beno Zephine, Third Secretary (Language Trainee) to read out the Hon’ble President of India’s address to the nation.

The event ended with a cultural performance by noted musician, Ms. Aparna Sridhar who delivered beautiful renditions of Bhajans: Vaishna Jan To, Ekla Chalo Re and Allah Tero Naam. She was accompanied by Mr. Anuvab Chatterjee on Tabla and Mr. Guillaume Barraud on Flute.

The Republic Day celebrations were attended by members of Indian diaspora, friends of India and the diplomatic community in Paris.
