On the occasion of 148th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Embassy of India, Mairie of X arrondissement of Paris and GOPIO France Metropole organized an exhibition on 'Gandhi-Une vie de vérité et de non-violence' at X Mairie of Paris on 02 October. This exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Rémi Féraud, Mayor of 10th arrondissement and Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Ambassador of India. This exhibition of rare photos of Mahatma Gandhi and replicas of articles used by him will continue till 13 October. Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador Kwatra emphasized on the importance of values of peace and non-violence practiced by Mahatma. Mayor Féraud urged Parisians to understand the ideals practiced by Mahatma Gandhi. They also released special post cards containing the famous quotes of Gandhi. Members of GOPIO France Metropole presented busts of Gandhi memorabilia to Ambassador and Mayor. These celebrations concluded with the favourite prayers and bhajans of Gandhi.
