2nd International Conference on World Space Business 2010, Bengaluru, India, 25-28 August, 2010
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Antrix Corporation Limited is organizing the 2nd International conference ‘World Space-Biz’ that would focus on International space business and commerce. The conference is being held concurrently with the “Bengaluru Space Expo 2010” scheduled from 25 – 28 August 2010 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, India.
Despite the recent economic situations, the space industry remains robust because of the essential benefits that it provides. According to reports the global space market earned revenues of $257.00 billion in 2008 and is estimated to reach $300.00 billion by 2017. The Government has allocated expenditure budget of USD 1.26 billion for financial year 2010-11, which is increased by about 22% from the previous year.
The ‘World Space – Biz’ would provide a platform for international and domestic space industry, space agencies, academia and scientific community and vendors and suppliers to discuss and deliberate upon future commercial prospects for international space industry in general and Asian region in particular.
Focus Areas
The conference would deliberate on issues such as access to space, space commercialisation, space adventure & exploration, risk management etc. The conference would also feature a ‘Leaders Forum’ and ‘Forum of Space Industry’.
