Services rendered to Indian Nationals :
New Passport (after final expiry of the existing passport:exhaustion of pages) :
Requirements :
- Duly filled in application form which can be obtained from the Consular Wing or downloaded from http://passport.gov.in/cpv
- Original Passport (existing)
- Photocopy of first and last pages and the visa page of existing passport.
- Photocopy of the stay permit (carte de séjour or carte de résident)
- 4 recent colour photographs (identical ones).
- Copy of spouse passport (first and last page)
- Fee 48 € in cash (+ 30 € in cash if the existing passport was not issued in Paris)
- 54 € (+ 30 € if the existing passport was not issued in Paris) by certified cheque if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement.
Passport for a Minor:
Requirements:
- 3 recent colour photographs (identical ones) of the child
- Indian passports of both parents or at least one parent in case the other is a foreigner (original + copy of first and last pages)
- Parents' stay permit (carte de séjour or carte de résident) in original or attested copies if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement
- Attested copies(first and last pages with spouse name on each other's passport) of the valid passports of the parents.
- Declaration (form can be obtained from designated counter of Consular Wing or can be reproduced as per the model given if the application is by post) by both parents not adopting any other nationality in r/o the baby.In case of either parent being a French national, this declaration should to be attested by the concerned Mairie.
- 30 € in cash / 36 € by bank certified cheque(cheque de banque certifié) if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement. It may please be noted that cash/mandat cash or personal cheques are not accepted for applications sent by post.

Passport for new-born baby:
Requirements:
- Original Birth Certificate of the child
- 4 recent colour photographs (identical ones) of the child
- Indian passports of both parents or at least one parent in case the other is a foreigner (original + copy)
- Parents' stay permit (carte de séjour or carte de résident) in original or attested copies if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement
- Attested copies(first and last pages with spouse name on each other's passport) of the valid passports of the parents.
- Annexure H duly signed by both the parents in the prescribed form (click here for the ANNEXURE 'H')
- Declaration (form can be obtained from designated counter of Consular Wing or can be reproduced as per the model given if the application is by post) by both parents not adopting any other nationality in r/o the baby.In case of either parent being a French national, this declaration should to be attested by the concerned Mairie.
- 80 € in cash / 86 € by bank certified cheque(cheque de banque certifié) if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement. It may please be noted that cash/mandat cash or personal cheques are not accepted for applications sent by post.
KINDLY NOTE THAT AS PER THE AMENDED CITIZENSHIP ACT, THE NEW BORN BABY MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE EMBASSY WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF BIRTH OF THE BABY.

Duplicate Passport (upon loss or damage of existing passport) :
Requirements :
- Application (form can be obtained from the designated counter of the Consular Wing or downloaded for Diplomatic/Official passport from http://passport.gov.in/cpv/
- 4 recent photographs (identical ones)
- Police declaration in original (which will be kept with us)
- Photocopy of first and last pages of the lost passport including French visa.
- Photocopy of carte de séjour / resident permit
- Letter of explanation (circumstance under which loss of passport occurred)
- 180 € in cash or 186 € by certified cheque if you apply by post recorded delivery with acknowledgement.
Birth Certificate :
Requirements :
- 2 recent photographs (identical ones)
- Passport (original + copy)
- Stay permit (carte de séjour or carte de résident) - (original + copy)
- 25 € in cash or 31 € by certified cheque if you apply by post through recorded delivery with acknowledgement
- The birth certificate will be issued the same day between 16:00 and 17:00 if you apply at the counter and in a week's time if you apply by post.

The Embassy does not issue bachelorhood certificates.
However, if the applicant holds a bachelorhood or eligibility for marriage certificate issued by a court of law in India , and attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, (Consular Division), Patiala House, New Delhi , then the Embassy can attest the seal of the Ministry. A fee of 12€ charged for the same.
Alternatively, for personal affidavits/declarations, the Embassy will merely stamp the paper while not assuming responsibility for its contents.
Following documents are required to be submitted in such cases:
- Miscellaneous Application Form duly completed IN ALL RESPECTS and signed.
- Valid Passport of the applicant
- Certificate in Original issued by the relevant authority, along with a copy (Original Certificate will be returned to the applicant), or personal affidavit.
Kindly note that the Consular Section issues a “certificat de coutume” for a fee of € 25.
